COVID-19: AMANSIE YOUTH FOR DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (A.Y.D.F) DONATES SANITARY ITEMS TO ANWIANKWANTA COMMUNITY.

9 th April, 2020. Anwiankwanta, Ashanti - The Amansie Youth for Development Foundation (AYDF), a non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental, and development based group of young men and women on Wednesday 1 st April 2020 donated some ‘Veronica buckets’, soaps and tissues to the Anwiankwanta Unit Committee in the bid to support governments’ effort to fight covid-19 pandemic in Ghana. The foundation, dedicated to the development of all aspects of their communities i.e. education, sanitation, infrastructure, health, recreation and employment for better living standard of their community people did this gesture to augment similar gestures to curb the novel Corona Virus. AirtelTigo Money to replace Airtel Money and Tigo Cash

Airtel Money and Tigo Cash will at the end of April 2018 merge and operate on one platform, a operators of the mobile money have announced. The move, which will give birth to AirtelTigo Money, is in line with the recent merger of the two telecom companies, Airtel and Tigo. Chief Executive Officer of AirtelTigo, Roshi Motman, said the merger of the two mobile money platforms, would deliver superior customer experience. The integration of the platforms, she explained, would allow customers do mobile money transactions across both Airtel Money and Tigo Cash wallets. Both Airtel money and Tigo Cash customers would also be able to do seamless cash-in and cash-out at all AirtelTigo Money merchants and agents. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has awarded a total of 21 foreign-owned firms and two expatriate business personalities operating in the country for their immense contributions towards the economic development of Ghana. The awards were presented to the businesses by the President, ministers, former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, on Monday in Accra during the maiden edition of the Ghana Expatriate Business Awards (GEBA) 2017 held at the Movempick Ambassador Hotel. GEBA is an award scheme instituted by the Government of Ghana under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry to acknowledge the immense contributions of expatriate businesses towards the economic development of Ghana. The award scheme is believed to be the first of its kind on the African continent. It is also aimed at deepening ties between the government of Ghana and foreign investors.
