COVID-19: AMANSIE YOUTH FOR DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (A.Y.D.F) DONATES SANITARY ITEMS TO ANWIANKWANTA COMMUNITY.




9th April, 2020. Anwiankwanta, Ashanti - The Amansie Youth for Development Foundation (AYDF), a non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental, and development based group of young men and women on Wednesday 1st April 2020 donated some ‘Veronica buckets’, soaps and tissues to the Anwiankwanta Unit Committee in the bid to support governments’ effort to fight covid-19 pandemic in Ghana.

The foundation, dedicated to the development of all aspects of their communities i.e. education, sanitation, infrastructure, health, recreation and employment for better living standard of their community people did this gesture to augment similar gestures to curb the novel Corona Virus.






The president of the foundation, Mr. Oduro Osei Vincent, speaking at the short ceremony said “This underscores our commitment to working tirelessly to develop and deliver community engagement programmes and mobilize communities and get them talking. Among other things ,what pushes us to success is our commitment to lasting results, integrity, passion for the work we do, stewardship, innovation and sacrifice and in critical times like this where countries and governments are dealing with the global pandemic, we can only wish our people well and encourage them to remain calm, observe protocols and take all precautionary measures”.

In addition to the donations, the Foundation made it clear that it is preparing to through their members who are health professionals do dawn and dusk broadcast about measures to help reduce the spread of the virus.

Receiving the items on behalf of the entire community, Nana Opoku, a member of the Unit Committee and immediate past Committee chairman thanked the foundation and promised to take good care of the items.
