AirtelTigo advocates for more girls into ICT

As part of its initiative to intensify the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), AirtelTigo just announced that it’s joining several voices around the world to push more girls into ICT.
AirtelTigo revealed that it will partake in this year’s International Girls in ICT Day on 26th April, to add its voice to inspire and empower more girls to take interest in STEM and consider careers in ICT.

 AirtelTigo will share inspiring quotes from amazing Tech ladies in business and other female achievers in ICT on this day as a means to motivate other females to venture Information Communication Technology.

 International Girls in ICT Day is an initiative backed by all ITU Member States which aims to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider pursuing careers in the growing fields of ICTs. International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of April.

 To date, over 300,000 girls and young women have taken part in more than 9,000 celebrations of International Girls In ICT Day in 166 countries worldwide.
